GIS application for modeliing of environmental protected areas: case study of the Pan european ecological network

Abstract

The main goal of the paper is to show importance of the GIS application for modelling of the
nature areas in the framework of Pan European ecological network development, The paper
based on the GIS methodology application for Ukrainian ecological network formation as the
essential part of European one,
Paper will provide information on wide spectrum of possibilities that are supplied by the GIS
technologies for designing of nature protected areas, GIS gives the fundamental basis for the
system approach application for a rational planning of the ecological network's objects
allocation,
Suggested methodology could be used as universal remedy for the development and
rebuilding of the ecological networking all over the Europe,
